Nahavand Rugs

Nahavand, a small but very old city, was founded by Darius the Great. Their rugs are tribal, hand-woven on horizontal looms, which means they are small to medium in size. Silky, shiny wools, bright colours, abstract centre medallions surrounded by a field with lots of detail, the warp and weft are usually cotton with a Turkish knot. The ideal rug for a small, dull bedroom or office.

"Just got our rug for the family room and want to tell you how it has changed that room. Wow! Nice warm, cosy feeling. Great!"
